Big Turtle Studio is delighted to welcome artist Lu Yuan-Ze to Big Turtle Studio for two exciting workshops in 2026.
Lu began his artistic training in Taiwan under several distinguished artists, including Lai H.C., before continuing his studies at the renowned Repin Academy in Russia and later with Odd Nerdrum in Norway. He now works as a successful freelance artist based in Taiwan.
Lu’s work demonstrates a masterful approach to creative problem-solving and picture-making that transcends traditional academic boundaries. His unique sense of abstraction and sensitivity to form beautifully bridge classical training with a contemporary visual language.

Building a painting from concept to completion
Learn to develop your ideas from sketches and references to a final piece. In this dynamic workshop, Lu will guide you step by step from creative research, composition to perspective and execution.
